ProcessVision

ProcessVision is the Cerasus monitoring and APC analytics platform. CeraTrace is its historian trending and plotting workbench; CeraControl is the APC layer — model discovery, step-test planning and controller health — so a unit can be watched, modelled and controlled from the same data.

What it does

ProcessVision, explained.

Advanced control lives or dies on data: the trends operations look at, the step tests engineers run, the models controllers use. ProcessVision keeps them together. CeraTrace gives fast, engineering-grade trending over historian data; CeraControl uses that same data to discover dynamic models, plan step tests and track whether a running MPC still matches the plant.

The result is APC that is easier to justify, faster to commission and cheaper to maintain — because model drift and service-factor loss are visible before the benefits disappear.

What Cerasus provides

Key features

CeraTrace trending

Multi-pen trends, overlays, statistics and annotations straight from the historian; saved views for shifts and reviews.

KPI & deviation monitoring

Unit KPIs, soft-sensor estimates and early-warning limits calculated live.

CeraPredict model discovery

Identifies MV/DV → CV dynamic models from historical data, with DMC-style priors and fit diagnostics.

Step-test planning

Designs test sequences (PRBS / step) for the required model quality with minimum disturbance.

Controller health

Service factor, constraint activity, prediction error and model-mismatch tracking for running MPC.

Open connectivity

OPC UA, PI, IP.21 and CSV; runs beside any vendor's MPC.

How it works

Workflow, step by step

Connect

Historian tags and calculation engine.

Watch

Trends, KPIs and early-warning limits for operations.

Model

Discover dynamic models; plan and analyse step tests.

Sustain

Track controller health; re-identify when the plant changes.
